. The photos are just to show you different angles of the pendant, a comparison between the two sizes of keychains available, and to give you a better feel for the size of the urn itself.
The pendant is about 27mm or a little over an inch tall measuring from the circle cap on top to the bottom of the heart. The width is about 22mm (about 7/8 inch) at the widest point. There is a little bit of a flat surface on the back where a name could be engraved (with very small print), although we do not offer this service.
Most local jewelry stores offer this service for a small fee.

This style of pendant only holds a pinprick of ashes!
It is
not
hollow. It is more of a beautiful symbolic memorial piece for you to wear in memory of your beloved dog. The chamber under the cap is extremely tiny - only the
teeniest
bit of ashes can fit inside and the rest is solid. A small dot of ashes is all that is needed to represent your pup. If you are looking for a pendant that holds a larger amount of ashes, this is not the right pendant for you. We have plenty of other styles in our store, and the larger vials hold the most. This, however, is one of my most elegant and stunning pendants of all, and it makes a lovely, wearable tribute to your beloved canine.
The pendant can be filled using a tiny funnel, or just a pair of tweezers. You can make a funnel out of a sheet of paper, and it will work just fine. Tweezers are often the fastest and easiest way to fill the tiny hole. First, unscrew the circle cap on the top of the pendant. Place the ash into the chamber. Be sure to screw the cap back on tightly after filling, but be sure not to over-tighten. Then, the pendant can be worn next to your heart at all times. For a permanent seal, you can use a touch of metal to metal adhesive. Some people prefer they remain able to open to that ashes can be spread in meaningful places, and then refilled. Most people use a touch of superglue to make sure the ashes never spill out, especially if wearing regularly or using on a key ring.
Stainless steel is extremely durable. It will not rust, tarnish or discolor skin. You can clean it at any time using rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. The alcohol will not damage any part of it. Keychains do get jostled around quite a bit, so please don't forget to seal it permanently with superglue to avoid accidental spilling of the cremains.

Sometimes the postal service simply does not move as quickly as you or we would hope, and we just don't have any control over it once the post office receives it, so
