This is a 4 oz sterile pre-poured agar jar for syringe injections (whether they are liquid cultures or spores). This is a great way to test your spores or cultures.
It's typical to make 3-4 transfers to different agar plates(jars) to get a clean mono-culture from spores.
If you're looking to get the best out of your genetics from a MS syringe or print, this is the way to go. This injection port makes it easier for people that don't have the best clean room for inoculation (as agar plates require a still air box or laminar flow hood).
