1. ITEM DESCRIPTION
This auction is for an used high end full face piece reusable respirator TW099* and a pair of new T3+ filters from Shigematsu** released in November, 2016 for Asian market.
This is one of the most recently released full face piece reusable respirators in the world.
TW of model name TW099 is Shigematsu's product category stands for Two Way which means this respirator can be used as a dust respirator as well as a gas respirator unlike some other respirators that can only be used as either one of the purposes.
The respirator of this auction is a dust respirator with included dust filters, NOT a gas respirator with gas filters as it is now.
However it can also be converted to a gas respirator only by replacing the included dust filters with gas filters sold separately which is not a part of this auction.
There are 32 different types of gas filters available from Shigematsu one of which has to be carefully chosen depending on the type of gas to be purified; not a part of this auction.
It is in size M which may be bigger or smaller than size M respirators from other regions or manufacturers.
So please do not rely on S, M or L and refer to the actual measurements as they follow.
The size inside face seal is about maximum 4.13 in (105mm) wide around cheek and 5.12 in (130mm) high at the center.
From the top of the bottom face seal to the top of the nose cup is about 3.07 in (78mm) and from the top of nose cup to the bottom of top face seal is about 2.05 in (52mm).
The size outside face seal is about maximum 6.02 in (153mm) wide around cheek and 7.60 in (193mm) high at the center.
From the bottom of the bottom face seal to the top of the nose cup is about 4.41 in (112mm) and from the top of nose cup to the top of top face seal is about 3.45 in (87.7mm).
Overall it is about 6.99 in (177.6mm) wide and 7.60 in (193mm) high including neither filters nor head harness.
All measurements include the thickness of the face seal and measured from the back side of the respirator.
TW099 respirator with included T3+ filters are also available in Asian countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India and other countries except China.
Therefore T3+ filters may be available for your future replacement locally in these countries.
TW099 respirator of this auction features a head harness of six straps four of which are adjustable with plastic buckles.
Otherwise another respirator FS01 respirator from Shigematsu for Europe, Oceania, Africa and South America is exactly same as TW099 respirator of this auction except that all six straps are adjustable with metal buckles and filters are not included.
It means TW099 respirator of this auction is capable to meet European standards as it is as FS01 did; EN136:1998 Class 1・AS/NZS 1716:2012.
CP-P3R filter for those regions looks like T3+ filters of this auction for Asia from outside however as it was particularly engineered to meet with European standard, it is a different filter according to Shigematsu customer service. However the filter is designated as the highest RL3; minimum filter efficiency of 99.90%, by MHLW, Japan which is equivalent to P3 or FFP3; minimum filter efficiency of 99.97%.
In more than 16 European countries where FS01 is available, 10 different filters are available for your future replacement; in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovalia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and other countries, CP-P3R, P3R, P2R, P3RC, P2RC, CA-A1, CA-A2, CA-K1, CA-AX and CA-ABEK1 filters are available.
Currently there is no Shigematsu product officially available in North America so its compliance with NIOSH is unknown.
However as NIOSH approved 3M F-440 Series respirator failed the "2018 MHLW Airtight Test for Gas Masks in the Market" in Japan that TW099 passed due to air leakage from inside to outside, TW099 of this auction may have a good chance to meet NIOSH P100 standard.
TW099 of this auction is designated as the highest RL3; minimum filter efficiency of 99.90%, by MHLW, Japan which is almost equivalent to NIOSH P100; minimum filter efficiency of 99.97%.
The respirator of this auction has been used for agricultural purpose and is in good and clean condition with absolutely no malfunctions.
Its nose cup and head harness have embossed manufactured month and year as September, 2017, face seal and exhalation valve cover as January, 2019 indicating each part was manufactured in different month.
Finally the printed manufactured month and year on the decal inside the lens is "February, 2019" following "Shigematsu" and "TW099", which presumably indicates the month and year out of the factory.
So the respirator of this auction is 14 months old now as of April, 2020.
There are multiple minor scratches on the lens and face seal some of which may be too deep to be polished off.
Scratches on the lens are hardly noticeable when the respirator is on your face.
Please see 1st auction photo to check the scratches.
Dust on the lens was completely removed before taking photos so what looks like dust on the lens is all scratches.
Head harness is slightly deformed at most frequently used position.
It is ready to use with new filters out of its original plastic bag which have already been mounted on the respirator.
*TW099 is currently one of the best respirator in the world.
It is not only adopted by TEPCO as a part of its official workwear at Yellow Zone; around reactors; the top 5% radioactively contaminated zone of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station; one of the world’s most hazardous working environment, but also adopted by the Nuclear Regulation Authority for one of the most dangerous mission in the history of mankind; the investigation inside Unit 3 reactor building at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station on Dec 12, 2019.
**Shigematsu Works Co., Ltd, founded in 1917, is the leading professional manufacturer of particulate and gas respirators in Japan.
Shigematsu is 1 of 3 respirator supplier currently adopted by TEPCO for the use in one of the world’s most hazardous working environment; Yellow Zone; around reactors, the most radioactively contaminated part of the damaged Fukushima Diichi Nuclear Power Station.
Among their respirators the older model TW088 is now being replaced by newer model TW099 of this auction for its significantly improved visibility and speaking diaphragm.

3. PACKING
Your item will be securely protected by single-layer bubble wrap firmly sealed by 7 pieces of 1/2 inch wide adhesive tapes.
Then it will be packed in a single-layer corrugated cardboard box sealed with 7 pieces of 2 inch wide adhesive tapes.
These tapes cover all 12 edges at least twice and all 8 corners at least three times making the box very difficult to destroy.
The specification of the packing is subject to change anytime without notice depending on the feedback from buyers and availability of the material.
4. POSTING
Your item will be posted within 5 business days after your payment at nearby 24/7 "Larger Distribution Center" of Japan Post, only 4 miles away from my location, 1 of only 22 post offices in Tokyo's 23 wards that opens 24 hours, to minimize the delivery time, never at a "Standard Post Office" which average ebay seller in Japan uses everyday for convenience.
Please search Japan Post on Wikipedia for the difference between the 2 types of postal facilities.
To check the posting status please click on "MyeBay" at the top right of the page, then "Purchase history" on the left of the page under "Activity" tab and finally see if a box-shaped icon on the right of your item in "Orders" section is activated in black.
It can also be viewed in "Transaction Detail" of the item on the classic site of PayPal.
I mark the item as "shipped" on eBay and PayPal within 1 day after posting so you should see it within 6 business days after your payment.
Otherwise a notification message of posting should be sent to your PayPal email address automatically by PayPal as soon as I mark your item as shipped so you can check your inbox for the message as well.
I will take photos of your packet at Japan Post service counter for my own shipping record regardless of your request for them or a tracking number.
I will provide them to you via eBay message UPON YOUR REQUEST for your peace of mind.
I consider them also as an important proof of posting especially when a tracking number is not requested.
This auction is for a buyer who respects them as a proof of shipping and is encouraged by them to wait patiently for the long delivery.

1. An exclusive white certificate stamp issued only at a Japan Post service counter with price, name of the office and date printed on it with red ink, and / or regular stamps with cancellation stamp by Japan Post;
Either way it proves when and where your item was posted.

3. Background that shows it was taken at a Japan Post service counter

5. TRANSPORT INSIDE JAPAN
If your PayPal shipping address is outside Japan, your packet will then be transported directly to Tokyo International Post Office, only 12 miles away from the Larger Distribution Center, one of only 6 international post offices in Japan which are combined with customs that all international packets must go through.
According to the tracking records it takes only 0.4 day average for your packet to arrive at Tokyo International Post Office after posted and another 1.4 days average to go through the customs and then to leave the office.
It will then be transported to either one of Japan's two primary airports, Narita, only 41 miles away or Haneda, only14 miles away both from Tokyo International Post Office.
Over 60% of international flights in Japan depart from these airports and with these two combined Tokyo has the third busiest city airport system in the world, after London and New York.
I have the advantage of location for quick shipping over most of eBay sellers from countryside in Japan.
Here is a comparison of tracking information for 2 EXPEDITED (EMS) packets; one posted in Tokyo by me and another posted in Osaka, the 2nd biggest city in Japan, by another seller, almost at the same time of the same day to the same address in Vancouver, Canada.
They were tracked at 10:00 AM on August 12, 2015, Japanese Standard Time.
A packet from Tokyo had already left from Canadian customs for the local post office in Vancouver on the day before the tracking, when a packet from Osaka didn't even arrive at the Canadian customs on the day of the tracking.
Presumably this is because there was no or fewer direct flight from Osaka to Vancouver so the packet had to either wait longer in Osaka or be redirected to Tokyo.
The price for EMS is same regardless of a city of posting as long as it is shipped from Japan.
It is up to you a seller from which city you choose.

These numbers has now became too old to be tracked on any tracking site in the world.

6. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

This auction is for a buyer who agrees to follow the steps described below in case of late delivery.

- information on postal delay in Japan provided by Japan Post web site
- how long my other packets are taking to your country or to your area if the information is available

6-3-3. VISITING YOUR LOCAL POST
There are many undelivered mail due to your absence at your PayPal shipping address, especially during summer.
Please ask me for estimate of delivery period more accurate than what ebay offers BEFORE your PayPal payment.
If you're not sure if you or someone on behalf of you will be able to receive your packet at your PayPal shipping address during the period, please upgrade to faster shipping method to bring the delivery forward or ask me to hold your item without shipping to postpone the delivery.
If someone has always been at home and you're still experiencing some delay, then your local post ( UPS Access Point in the US ) might've failed to leave a notice of delivery ( InfoNotice for UPS ) or it is so small that you might've thrown it away with other junk mails in your post box.
Your local post office have to hold your packet for at least 1 week after they receive it without shipping it back to me.
Please visit your local post office IN CHARGE OF DELIVERY TO YOUR ADDRESS, not just any post office nearby, with your ID and photos of your packet in search of your packet once a week starting from a day after the end of your estimated delivery period that we have already concluded.
Many buyers found their packet this way and this is worth trying.
If you don't find it at your second visit; minimum of 8 days after the end date of the estimated delivery period, I will be happy to refund your payment upon your request via eBay message.
